Terms of service.

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before downloading or using the AgentPresso macOS application, the agentpresso.com website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by WP Salad ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, do not install or use the Service.

The short version

• AgentPresso runs on your Mac and connects to WordPress sites you connect to it. You are responsible for what you ask it to do on those sites.
• The agent pauses before destructive actions, but ultimately performs whatever you approve. We are not responsible for outcomes of approved actions.
• The Multisite subscription is billed by Freemius. Cancel any time from your Freemius account. A 7-day refund window applies to new subscriptions, no questions asked.
• AgentPresso is BYOK ("Bring Your Own Key"). You sign up with the AI provider of your choice and pay them directly. Their terms and privacy policy govern that side of the conversation.
• If you use AgentPresso to manage sites that aren't yours, getting the owner's authorisation is on you, not us.

License to use the software

WP Salad grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use AgentPresso on Mac computers you own or control, subject to the tier of license you hold (Free = one connected WordPress site; Multisite single or volume = the number of seats your license entitles you to, each able to connect unlimited sites). The license does not transfer ownership of the software to you; the Service and its code remain the exclusive property of WP Salad and its licensors.

Acceptable use

You may:

• Use AgentPresso to manage WordPress sites you own, or sites you manage with the owner's explicit authorisation.
• Use AgentPresso commercially — for paid client work, agency services, internal use at your company, or any other commercial purpose — as long as your license remains active. The Multisite tier exists for exactly this.
• Write custom skills, modify your own skills, and share your custom skill files with others.
• Use AgentPresso with any AI provider supported by the app.

You may not:

• Use AgentPresso to attack, exploit, deface, harvest data from, or otherwise damage any WordPress site you do not have explicit authorisation to manage.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the AgentPresso application, except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Redistribute, share, or transfer the AgentPresso application binary or your license key to anyone who does not hold their own valid license. Your seat count is the number of people who may use AgentPresso under your subscription.
• Use AgentPresso in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of any site you are managing.

Authorisation to manage WordPress sites

Please read this section carefully. It forms an essential part of your agreement with WP Salad.

AgentPresso is a tool that performs real actions on WordPress sites you connect to it — updating plugins, editing files, modifying databases, running shell commands, and so on. The technical ability of AgentPresso to reach a given site does not, by itself, constitute authorisation to perform those actions.

If you use AgentPresso to manage a website belonging to a client or any third party, you are solely and exclusively responsible for:

• Obtaining explicit, documented consent from the site owner before connecting the site to AgentPresso or running any actions on it;
• Ensuring that such consent is valid, informed, and complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of the site owner;
• Retaining records of that consent and making them available upon request by the site owner, a regulatory authority, or a court of law;
• Ensuring that your use of AgentPresso complies with any contractual obligations you have toward the site owner or any third party.

WP Salad has no visibility into, and bears no responsibility for, the relationship between you and the owners of any sites you connect to AgentPresso. WP Salad is not a party to any agreement between you and your clients, and shall not be held liable for any claim, complaint, regulatory investigation, fine, legal proceeding, or any other consequence arising from your use of AgentPresso without proper authorisation from a site owner.

Unauthorised access to or modification of a computer system or website may constitute a criminal offence under applicable computer fraud and abuse laws, including but not limited to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) in the United States, the Computer Misuse Act in the United Kingdom, and equivalent legislation in other countries. WP Salad reserves the right to terminate your access to the Service if we become aware of any unauthorised use of AgentPresso.

Purchases and refunds

If you purchase a Multisite license, the transaction is processed by Freemius on our behalf, on a monthly or annual cycle. By submitting payment information to Freemius, you grant them the right to process your purchase subject to Freemius's own terms and privacy policy. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use any payment method you provide, and that the information you supply is true, correct, and complete.

If you change your mind within the first 7 days after subscribing, get in touch via the contact form and we will process a full refund — no questions asked. After 7 days, refunds are at our sole discretion. Refunds are not applicable for subscription renewals.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Freemius account dashboard. When a subscription lapses or is cancelled, AgentPresso returns to the Free tier capability (one connected site). Your locally stored data is not affected — only the number of sites the application will allow you to use simultaneously.

AI provider usage

AgentPresso operates on a "Bring Your Own Key" basis. To use the application with any cloud AI provider, you must obtain credentials directly from that provider, agree to their terms, and pay any usage fees they charge directly to them. WP Salad is not a party to that relationship. Token costs, rate limits, data handling, and service availability on the AI provider's side are entirely outside our control, and we are not responsible for any failure, outage, billing dispute, content moderation decision, or change in provider policy.

By using AgentPresso with a cloud AI provider, you acknowledge that your conversations — including any content you type, any output of commands the agent runs against your WordPress site, and any credentials or system data that may appear in that context — are transmitted to the provider you chose. What that provider does with that data is governed entirely by their own privacy policy and data-handling terms, which you should review before selecting them.

Scope and limitations of the Service

Please read this section carefully. It forms an essential part of your agreement with WP Salad.

AgentPresso is a tool designed to assist with WordPress site administration by translating natural-language requests into real technical actions. We make every reasonable effort to deliver a safe, accurate, and dependable product. However, the use of AgentPresso does not and cannot guarantee any specific outcome on your WordPress site, server, hosting environment, or any data stored on or related to those systems.

WordPress site administration involves a complex ecosystem of interdependent components, most of which are entirely outside the scope, visibility, and control of AgentPresso. These include, but are not limited to:

• The AI model you chose — its quality, reasoning capability, accuracy, hallucinations, biases, occasional errors, and availability are properties of the third-party provider you selected, not of AgentPresso.
• The WordPress site and its configuration — core software, installed plugins and themes, custom code, database state, file permissions, server-side caching layers, and any non-standard customisation that may behave unexpectedly under any administration action.
• The hosting and server environment — operating system, web server, PHP version, database engine, network configuration, security tooling, and the policies of your hosting provider, all of which may interact with actions taken by the agent.
• Connection methods — SSH, FTP, REST API, and wp-admin pairing each have their own constraints, failure modes, and security implications determined by the target environment, not by AgentPresso.
• Your decisions — actions the agent performs after you have approved them are performed on your authority. AgentPresso pauses before destructive actions, but the final approval rests with you.

By installing and using AgentPresso, you expressly acknowledge and accept the following:

• AgentPresso is an administration assistant, not a guarantee of correct outcomes. It is designed to reduce friction in WordPress maintenance, not to remove your responsibility for the decisions it executes on your behalf.
• You are responsible for maintaining independent, off-app backups of any WordPress site you connect to AgentPresso. We strongly recommend backing up your site before approving any non-trivial action.
• WP Salad bears no responsibility, and shall not be liable, for any site outage, data loss, data corruption, business interruption, financial loss, reputational damage, legal liability, regulatory penalty, or any other harm of any kind — direct or indirect — that results from any action approved by you and executed by the agent, or from any failure of an AI provider, hosting provider, WordPress component, or third-party service involved in the work.
• WP Salad bears no responsibility for any harm arising from your failure to back up your site, your failure to review and understand the agent's proposed actions before approving them, or your decision to enable Quick Mode or otherwise reduce the agent's default approval prompts.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance. We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will function uninterrupted, securely, or be available at any particular time or location; (b) any errors or defects will be corrected; (c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or (d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WP Salad and its directors, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to legal fees), resulting from or arising out of: (a) your use of and access to the Service; (b) a breach of these Terms; (c) any action you authorise the agent to take on any WordPress site; or (d) any unauthorised use of AgentPresso to access, modify, or scan a site for which you did not have explicit permission from the owner.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall WP Salad, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (i) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party in connection with the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service or from an AI provider used through the Service; or (iv) unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

In no event shall WP Salad's total cumulative liability to you exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to WP Salad for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim; or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

Intellectual property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users — such as your own custom skills or your messages to the agent), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of WP Salad and its licensors. The AgentPresso name, logo, and visual design are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may reference the AgentPresso name without advance permission to truthfully describe the product, to report news or information about it, or to link to our website. Any other use of AgentPresso branding or trademarks requires our written permission — please use the contact form.

Third-party components

AgentPresso is built on top of Hermes, an open-source AI agent from Nous Research, used under its own open-source license. By using AgentPresso, you also use Hermes, and the terms of Hermes's own license apply to that component. AgentPresso may include additional open-source components from time to time, each subject to their respective licenses.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license to use the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, at our sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. If you wish to terminate the agreement, you may simply uninstall AgentPresso and, if subscribed, cancel your Multisite subscription. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive — including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms or your access to or use of the Service shall be instituted in a court of competent jurisdiction, and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such court.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post a note in the changelog. What constitutes a material change is determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you are no longer authorised to use the Service.
