No. AgentPresso is built for site owners, not developers. You type the way you'd write a note to a friend — "my site is slow, can you check", "write a blog post about our spring sale", "update everything that's safe to update". If you ever want to look behind the curtain and see the actual commands, you can — but you don't have to.
No. The simplest setup is: add your WordPress site, connect ChatGPT / Codex, and start working. If you already have a ChatGPT subscription, AgentPresso can use that path without making you create API keys, add token credits, or learn provider dashboards. API keys are still there for people who want them — DeepSeek for very low cost, OpenAI or Anthropic for cloud models, LM Studio for local/private work — but a normal site owner can start with ChatGPT / Codex and never touch the technical setup.
Four ways, used in any combination. REST API is the quickest start — generate an application password in wp-admin, paste it in, and the agent can manage posts, plugins, themes, and most settings. SSH is the most capable — with it the agent can do everything a server admin can: run WP-CLI commands, edit wp-config.php directly, read logs, fix permissions, work outside WordPress entirely. wp-admin login lets the agent click through the admin panel visually when REST can't reach. FTP/SFTP for file operations. The app shows which abilities each method unlocks.
AgentPresso never takes an action without your category-level permission. Every change — file edited, plugin installed, setting updated — is governed by Always / Ask / Never rules you set in Settings. Destructive actions (deleting files, modifying wp-config.php, dropping database tables) are always protected and always ask, even if you've turned everything else to Always. You're the gate, every time.
AgentPresso has no servers — no cloud, no sync, no backup on our side. Your credentials live in your Mac's Keychain, the same place Safari stores your passwords. Encrypted at rest. Decrypted only when the app needs them for a specific operation.
